THEN:After the fall of Norway to victorious German invaders in 1940, the glorious regime of Vidkun Quisling took control. Much to the dismay of the Norwegian race, Quisling was deposed after Germany's defeat. Quisling and his government revolutionized Norway in a way that had not been done since its prior occupation by Sweden. The years of 1940-45 are remembered as a high point in Norwegian history. Poland claims pride that it was the only occupied country which produced no "quislings" during the war years. The polish people are simple and backwards, of course. NOW:Quisling's great legacy now lay in the musical group by the same name. Formed in Madison, Wisconsin, Quisling's music is best described as "ecclectic noise rock" in the vein of too many predecessors to name. It is made up of Ben Granby on vocals and tapes, Kevin Rhodes on guitar, Nate Peters on bass, Brian Kolterman on keyboards, and Patrick Moore on drums. These men represent the finest the Nasjonal Samling party has to offer.
